How to set recurring reminders on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has no built-in reminder feature — but a reminder bot fixes that in one message. Here is the whole process, start to finish.

Four steps, about 30 seconds

  1. Open the MemoryPing chat: Start the bot on WhatsApp (wa.me link) — no signup, the first message starts your free trial.
  2. Type the schedule in plain English: Examples: “remind me to drink water every 2 hours”, “remind me to pay rent on the 1st of every month”, “remind me to call home every Sunday at 6pm”.
  3. Confirm once: The bot echoes back the parsed schedule. If it misread anything, just correct it in chat: “no, make it 7pm”.
  4. Manage in one line: “show my reminders”, “pause the water reminder”, “delete the rent reminder” — no menus needed.

Recurrence patterns that work

  • “every day at 9am” / “every morning”
  • “every Monday and Thursday at 7pm”
  • “on the 1st of every month” — rent, SIPs, bills
  • “every 2 hours” — hydration, posture, eye breaks
  • “every Sunday” — weekly reviews, calls home

Each reminder keeps firing until you say stop — and you can snooze any single occurrence without breaking the series.
