Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MemoryPing ("MemoryPing," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use our reminder and memory assistant through WhatsApp, Telegram, the web, and optional Google, Notion, or Microsoft connections (collectively, the "Service").

Effective date: June 22, 2026  ยท  Last updated: August 10, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide, information created while you use the Service, and limited technical information needed to operate and protect it.

  • Account and contact information: your name, display name, username, messaging-platform user or chat identifier, phone number, and other account details you choose to provide.
  • Reminder and memory content: messages and instructions you send to MemoryPing, reminder titles or descriptions, notes, schedules, recurrence rules, due dates, timestamps, time zone, completion status, categories, and related context.
  • Preferences and usage information: language, notification and personalization preferences, interaction history, feature usage, and feedback that help the Service respond appropriately.
  • Shared reminder information: identifiers and reminder content you provide when asking MemoryPing to remind another person. You are responsible for having the right to provide that information.
  • Connected-app identity and authorization information: provider name, connected account identity, permissions granted, encrypted OAuth access or refresh credentials when persistent access is enabled, connection status, synchronization cursor, and last-sync information.
  • Connected-app content: data you authorize MemoryPing to read from Google Calendar, Gmail, selected Google Drive files, authorized Notion pages or databases, or selected Microsoft 365 services. Depending on your choices, this can include calendar events, email metadata and bodies, attachments, file content and metadata, notes, database records, and provider identifiers.
  • Derived connected-app information: extracted dates, facts, action items, summaries, source references, user-approved reminders, and search representations created only to provide the connected features you request.
  • Transaction information: if you purchase a paid feature, we may receive subscription status, plan, transaction identifiers, and limited billing metadata. Payment-card or banking credentials are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by MemoryPing.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device information, session identifiers, webhook and delivery status, error records, and security logs.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • create, schedule, deliver, update, search, and manage reminders and memories;
  • understand natural-language requests and personalize responses, timing, and preferences;
  • link supported messaging and data-source accounts and maintain your account and dashboard;
  • sync sources you enable, show their information, answer your questions with source context, and suggest reminders or briefs for your review;
  • send service messages, reminder notifications, confirmations, and support replies;
  • process subscriptions and maintain usage entitlements;
  • monitor reliability, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and secure the Service;
  • improve features using user feedback and operational information in ways permitted by the applicable provider policies; and
  • comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect users, MemoryPing, and others.

MemoryPing does not sell personal or connected-app information. We do not use it for targeted advertising, data brokerage, credit decisions, or training generalized or non-personalized AI models.

3. Connected-App Data

Connections are optional and begin only when you choose a provider and approve its consent screen. Google Calendar is the only connected-data source currently available. Other provider descriptions below apply only if those connections are later released and their Connect buttons appear in the dashboard. Exact data and permissions are described on our Connected Apps and Data Use page.

For Google connections, MemoryPing requests the OpenID Connect openid scope only to obtain a stable provider account identifier and bind encrypted credentials to the correct connection. MemoryPing does not request Google profile or email scopes. Planned Microsoft connections use the equivalent signed OpenID subject and do not require the Microsoft Graph User.Read profile permission.

  • Google Calendar: selected or visible calendar names and upcoming read-only event titles, start dates or times, status, identifiers, and links, used to display upcoming events and let you explicitly confirm a separate MemoryPing reminder.
  • Gmail: read-only message metadata, headers, bodies, and necessary attachments used to identify bills, bookings, deliveries, renewals, deadlines, and follow-ups, and to answer questions you ask about permitted email content.
  • Google Drive: metadata and content only for files you deliberately select or share with MemoryPing, used for document search, source-backed answers, and reminder suggestions.
  • Notion: basic account/workspace information and content only from pages or databases you authorize, used for note and project search, action items, source-backed answers, and reminder suggestions.
  • Microsoft 365: basic identity and read-only Outlook mail, calendar, and OneDrive information for the Microsoft services you enable, used for equivalent mail, schedule, document, search, and reminder features.

MemoryPing does not use read-only connections to send or delete email, modify provider files or pages, or create, edit, or delete provider calendar events. A connection is available only when its Connect button appears in the dashboard.

4. Google API Services User Data

MemoryPing's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • Google user data is used only to provide or improve prominent, user-facing MemoryPing features that you request.
  • Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, transferred to data brokers, used for credit or lending decisions, or used to train generalized or non-personalized AI models.
  • Google user data is transferred only to contracted processors when necessary to provide or secure the requested feature, with user consent where required, or when legally required.
  • Humans may read specific Google user data only with your affirmative permission, when necessary for security or abuse investigation, or when required by law.
  • MemoryPing requests the narrowest practical permissions for implemented features and does not request access for speculative future functionality.

5. WhatsApp and Meta Data

MemoryPing uses the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform to receive messages from you and send reminders and service communications. When you interact with MemoryPing on WhatsApp, Meta may provide us with your WhatsApp phone number or identifier, profile information made available through the platform, message content, message identifiers, timestamps, and delivery or read status.

We use WhatsApp data only to provide, support, secure, and improve the features you request, including linking your account, understanding reminder instructions, and delivering reminders. Our handling of this data is also subject to applicable Meta and WhatsApp platform requirements. WhatsApp and Meta process information under their own terms and privacy policies; their practices are not controlled by MemoryPing.

You may stop WhatsApp communications by sending STOP or another supported opt-out instruction. Transactional or account communications may continue on another platform you use unless you separately disable them or delete your account.

6. AI and Natural-Language Processing

MemoryPing may use automated natural-language processing, machine learning, or contracted AI-processing services to interpret requests, resolve dates and times, classify content, extract facts, and generate source-backed answers or suggestions. For enabled features, this may involve sending the minimum necessary text or file excerpt and limited relevant context to MemoryPing's processing provider, currently OpenRouter and the selected model provider.

Connected-app data sent for processing is used only to return the feature you requested. MemoryPing does not permit connected-app data to be used to train generalized or non-personalized AI models, and connected-app content is excluded from MemoryPing's own training and active-learning datasets. The current Google Calendar event-list and reminder-confirmation flow does not send Calendar event data to an AI model.

Automated processing can make mistakes. You should review MemoryPing's confirmation and verify reminders involving health, safety, finance, legal obligations, travel, medication, or other important matters.

7. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include least-privilege access controls, encrypted OAuth credential storage for publicly released connections, authenticated service connections, signed webhook validation, secure session controls, content-minimized logs, backups, and monitoring.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. The Service and its providers may process or store information in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

8. Third-Party Services and Transfers

We disclose information only as needed to operate the Service, complete a transaction, comply with law, or protect rights and safety. Service providers are permitted to process information for the services they provide to us. Relevant categories may include:

  • Messaging platforms: Meta and WhatsApp, Telegram, and future platforms you choose to connect;
  • Connected-app providers: Google, Notion, and Microsoft for accounts and data sources you deliberately connect;
  • AI and language-processing processors: currently OpenRouter and selected model providers used on MemoryPing's behalf to process a feature you request;
  • Infrastructure providers: hosting, databases, monitoring, security, and communications services; and
  • Payment providers: Razorpay or another disclosed provider when you purchase a subscription.

We may also disclose information if required by law or a valid legal process; to investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; to protect a person's safety or legal rights; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.

9. User Controls and Data Deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or object to certain processing of, or delete your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To request access or deletion, follow our Data Deletion Instructions or email [email protected] from or with the contact information associated with your account. Use the subject "Data Deletion Request" for deletion requests and identify the WhatsApp phone number, Telegram username, or account identifier concerned. We may ask you to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

After verification, we will delete or de-identify the information associated with your account unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate recordkeeping. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

For current Google Calendar access, you may disconnect through Dashboard โ†’ Settings โ†’ Connected Apps. Disconnecting stops future Calendar access and removes locally stored provider credentials. Calendar event content is not automatically cached; reminders you explicitly approved remain until you delete them separately. You may request deletion of connection records or your account using our Data Deletion Instructions.

10. Data Retention

We keep account information, reminders, message content, schedules, preferences, and related records while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service. Retention periods depend on the type of information, why it was collected, user settings, operational needs, and legal requirements.

Delivery and security logs may be kept for a limited period to maintain reliability and prevent abuse. Transaction and subscription records may be retained as required by tax, accounting, or other law. Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted backups until those backups are overwritten through our normal cycle.

Google Calendar credentials are removed when the connection is disconnected. Current Calendar event content is fetched on demand and is not automatically persisted. User-approved reminders may remain as ordinary MemoryPing reminders unless you also delete them. If future connected features cache provider content or create derived search data, that data will be retained only as disclosed for the released feature and deleted after a verified connected-data deletion request, normally within 30 days.

11. Children's Privacy

MemoryPing is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age to consent to online services, users below that age may use MemoryPing only with authorization from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, platforms, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective or last-updated date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice through the Service or another appropriate channel when required.
