Requesting Deletion
You can ask MemoryPing to delete personal data connected to your account and use of our reminder and memory assistant. This includes information from WhatsApp, Telegram, the web, and any Google Calendar, Gmail, selected Google Drive, Notion, or Microsoft 365 connection you enabled.
You do not need to purchase a subscription to submit a deletion request. We may need to verify that you control the relevant account before deleting information so that another person cannot delete your data without authorization.
What Data May Be Deleted
Depending on the features you used and the information associated with your account, a verified deletion request may cover:
- reminders and reminder history;
- tasks, notes, categories, and completion records;
- scheduling information, dates, times, recurrence rules, and time-zone settings;
- user preferences, personalization settings, and feature choices;
- WhatsApp account associations, including the phone number or platform identifier linked to MemoryPing;
- stored conversation metadata, message identifiers, timestamps, and delivery information;
- stored message or reminder content associated with your account; and
- connected provider identities, granted-scope records, OAuth access and refresh credentials, connection status, and sync cursors;
- authorized calendar events, email content and metadata, selected file content and metadata, Notion page or database content, and Microsoft 365 content cached by MemoryPing;
- derived summaries, extracted facts, source references, semantic-search representations, and other connection-specific indexes; and
- other account-related information held by MemoryPing.
Deleting MemoryPing data does not delete your Google, Microsoft, Notion, WhatsApp, Facebook, Meta, Telegram, or other provider account. It removes data controlled by MemoryPing; providers retain their own data under their policies.
Disconnect or Delete One Connected App
For the currently available Google Calendar connection, open Dashboard → Settings → Connected Apps and choose Google Calendar.
- Disconnect stops future provider access and removes MemoryPing's stored OAuth credentials.
- Delete reminders separately removes Calendar-based reminders you explicitly confirmed. Those reminders remain ordinary MemoryPing reminders after disconnection unless you delete them.
- Contact support to request deletion of remaining connection records or your full account.
Current Google Calendar access does not automatically cache event content, summaries, extracted facts, or search representations, so no separate Calendar “disconnect and delete” cache control is needed.
If dashboard controls are not available or do not work, email [email protected]. State the provider, connected account email, and whether you want disconnection only or disconnection plus imported-data deletion.
Revoke Access at the Provider
You can also revoke MemoryPing from your provider's account-security or connections page. Revoking there stops future access but may not notify MemoryPing to remove its encrypted local credentials. Use MemoryPing's Disconnect control or contact support as well.
- Google: remove MemoryPing from your Google Account's third-party connections page.
- Microsoft: remove MemoryPing from your Microsoft account or organization consent settings.
- Notion: remove MemoryPing from your Notion workspace connection settings.
Option 1: Request Deletion by Email
Send an email to [email protected] using the following details:
- Subject: Data Deletion Request
- Account information: include the WhatsApp number associated with your MemoryPing account, including the country code.
- Connected accounts: include any Google, Microsoft, or Notion email/workspace identity whose imported data should be removed.
- Request: clearly state that you are requesting full deletion of your MemoryPing account and associated personal data.
For your security, please send the request from an email address associated with your account when possible. MemoryPing Support may ask for limited additional information to verify account ownership. Never send a password, payment-card number, one-time password, or WhatsApp verification code.
Option 2: Request Deletion Through WhatsApp
Contact MemoryPing through the registered WhatsApp business number you use for the Service and send a message requesting account deletion. Clearly state that you want your MemoryPing account and associated personal data deleted.
We may reply with a verification step or ask you to confirm the request from the WhatsApp number associated with the account. This helps us protect your data from unauthorized deletion requests.
Processing Time
Stored provider credentials are removed when a connection is successfully disconnected. Verified deletion requests for cached connected content and other personal data are normally completed within 30 days. If we need more information to identify the account or verify ownership, the processing period begins once verification is complete. We will let you know if applicable law permits or requires additional time.
Confirmation
Once deletion has been completed, MemoryPing will send confirmation through the email address or messaging channel used for the request. After deletion, your reminders and account information may no longer be recoverable, and you may need to create a new account if you use MemoryPing again.
Exceptions and Limited Retention
Some information may be retained when required or permitted for:
- compliance with applicable law, court orders, tax rules, or regulatory obligations;
- security investigations and protection of users or the Service;
- fraud prevention, abuse detection, and enforcement of our agreements;
- resolving disputes or establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims; or
- limited backup retention until data is overwritten through our normal backup cycle.
Any information retained for these purposes will be limited to what is reasonably necessary, protected from ordinary use, and kept only for the applicable retention period. Where appropriate, information may be de-identified instead of retained in identifiable form.
